Research Use Policy

1. Purpose of This Policy

This Research Use Policy sets out the conditions under which Ascension Healthcare supplies research peptide compounds and the obligations accepted by all purchasers. It forms part of the contractual agreement between Ascension Healthcare and all buyers and supplements our full Terms and Conditions.

The policy exists to ensure that our products are used safely, legally, and solely for their intended purpose - legitimate scientific investigation - and to protect both our customers and Ascension Healthcare from the consequences of misuse.

2. Intended Use

Products supplied by Ascension Healthcare are intended exclusively for:

  • In-vitro laboratory research and experimentation;
  • Academic and commercial scientific investigation;
  • Pharmacological and biochemical characterisation studies;
  • Development and validation of analytical research methods;
  • Any other lawful scientific research conducted by qualified researchers in a suitably equipped laboratory environment.

All research use must be conducted in compliance with the applicable laws, regulations, and institutional guidelines of the researcher's jurisdiction, including but not limited to health and safety legislation, chemical handling regulations, and research ethics requirements.

3. Prohibited Uses

The following uses are strictly prohibited and constitute a material breach of the purchase agreement:

  • Human administration - self-injection, ingestion, topical application, or any other form of administration to a human being;
  • Veterinary administration - administration to any animal outside of a lawfully conducted, ethics-approved research protocol;
  • Resale to unlicensed parties - supplying products to any individual or entity that is not a qualified researcher or licensed research institution;
  • Use as food supplements or cosmetics - incorporating products into any consumer product;
  • Unlicensed clinical trials - use in any study involving human subjects without appropriate regulatory approval;
  • Any unlawful purpose - use in contravention of any applicable national or international law or regulation.

4. Purchaser Confirmations

By placing an order, the purchaser unconditionally confirms and warrants each of the following:

I am an authorised business buyer for lawful laboratory research supply, a qualified researcher, scientist, or authorised representative of a research institution, and I am purchasing in that professional capacity.

I am aged 18 years or over.

The products will be used solely for lawful in-vitro scientific research and will not be administered to any human or animal outside of an approved research protocol.

I have verified that the purchase, importation, and intended use of the product is lawful in my jurisdiction, and I accept sole responsibility for that determination.

I will handle and store the products in accordance with all applicable health, safety, and chemical handling regulations applicable in my jurisdiction.

I understand that these products have not been approved by any regulatory authority for human or veterinary use and that no information provided by Ascension Healthcare constitutes medical advice.

I accept full and sole responsibility for any consequences arising from the use, misuse, or improper handling of the products, and I agree that Ascension Healthcare shall bear no liability in this regard.

5. Safe Handling Guidelines

Purchasers are responsible for determining and implementing appropriate safe handling procedures for each compound. As a general baseline, the following precautions are recommended for research peptide handling:

  • Handle all compounds in a suitable laboratory environment with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including lab coat, gloves, and eye protection;
  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke in the area where compounds are being handled;
  • Store pens according to the manufacturer’s product-specific label and batch instructions;
  • Dispose of unused products and handling materials in accordance with applicable waste disposal regulations for research chemicals;
  • Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for each compound - available on request - before commencing work;
  • Ensure all personnel who handle the compounds are appropriately trained and supervised.

6. Regulatory Compliance

The legal status of research peptides varies significantly between jurisdictions and is subject to change. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to:

  • Verify the current legal and regulatory status of any compound in their country before ordering;
  • Obtain any licences, permits, or approvals required by applicable regulations prior to purchase;
  • Comply with all import, customs, and border control regulations applicable to the shipment;
  • Comply with all institutional ethics and governance requirements applicable to their research.

Ascension Healthcare makes no representations or warranties regarding the regulatory status of any product in any jurisdiction outside of England and Wales. Purchasing from a jurisdiction where importation or possession of a compound is restricted or prohibited is entirely at the buyer's risk.

7. No Medical Advice

No information provided on the Ascension Healthcare website, in product descriptions, or in any communications from Ascension Healthcare constitutes medical advice, clinical guidance, or a recommendation for any diagnostic or therapeutic use. Research background information is provided solely for scientific context and to assist researchers in understanding the pharmacological properties of compounds for research planning purposes.

8. Enforcement & Consequences of Breach

Any breach of this Research Use Policy constitutes a material breach of the purchase agreement. In the event of a suspected or confirmed breach, Ascension Healthcare reserves the right to:

  • Immediately suspend or terminate the purchaser's account;
  • Refuse to fulfil any pending or future orders;
  • Seek appropriate legal remedies including injunctive relief and damages;
  • Report the matter to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
